Since 2014, The Boot has hosted the Golden Boot Awards, our very own fan-voted digital awards series, each spring. Beginning in 2018, however, the Golden Boot Awards are moving: Now, they will take place at the end of the year, to better align with the annual news cycle ... and to make way for the all-new Golden Mic Awards.

Recognizing the best in live country and Americana music, The Boot's Golden Mic Awards are debuting in 2018 with nine categories, each featuring staff-selected nominees who rule the stage. This week (April 23-27), The Boot will reveal 2018's Golden Mic Awards categories ... and then, it will be up to you, our readers, to crown the winners.

After each Golden Mic Awards category is revealed, readers will be able to vote for their preferred winner in each category as often as once per hour through 11:59PM ET on May 23. We'll announce the winners on the site the next day, May 24.

The Golden Mic Awards' Best Stadium Act category recognizes the upper echelon of touring country artists: those who mount major tours each year and pack out the biggest venues night after night. The nominees were among the highest-grossing touring acts worldwide in 2017, according to Pollstar; read on to meet them.

Garth Brooks holds the record for the most Entertainer of the Year wins at the ACM Awards, and has six wins in that category at the CMAs; he's been packing big venues since the 1990s and wrapped up his three-year World Tour in late 2017, so his name should be no surprise here. But what's better than one superstar onstage? How about two. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have thrilled sold-out crowds across the globe on their Soul2Soul Tour, which they extended into 2018 ... and the fact that they've set the bar for adorable country couples doesn't hurt either.

Eric Church once got kicked off a big tour for staying onstage too long as an opener -- but now, as a headliner, it's his no-limits performance style that keeps fans coming back en masse for more. Florida Georgia Line also push live performance boundaries, but usually with the cross-genre collaborators who join them onstage.

Luke Bryan is famous for the party atmosphere on his tours; he brings some of his best buddies along for the ride each year, putting together nights jam-packed with must-see performances. Of course, Chris Stapleton does the same in a completely different way, packing the fans in effortlessly to see his amazing and versatile musical skills.

Zac Brown Band are the ultimate live combination of incredible skill and laid-back vibes; onstage, they make giant stadium sets feel like intimate jam sessions around the bonfire. And Dierks Bentley has no trouble creating a killer show, either: In 2017, he sold out Nashville's Bridgestone Arena two nights in a row -- not to mention that he's known as one of the best tour bosses in the biz.

Entertainer of the Year at the 2018 ACM Awards, Jason Aldean is a road veteran by now, and his three-peat in the EoTY category speaks to his larger-than-life shows. And the 2018 ACM Female Vocalist of the Year, Miranda Lambert, held her own in the male-dominated world of stadium-sized country tours in 2017, giving fans night after night of vulnerable, powerful shows.
