Aberdeen Man Gets 7th DUI in 25 Years
ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) — An Aberdeen man whose driver's license had been revoked because of a drunken driving conviction has been sentenced for driving drunk through the city to check in with the 24/7 Sobriety Program.
The American News reports 61-year-old Michael Hilla pleaded guilty to a seventh drunken driving charge in a 25-year span. He was sentenced to serve 2 ½ years in prison and fined $604.
Hilla must serve at least 40 percent of his sentence before being eligible for parole.
