Backstreet Boys Tease Florida Georgia Line Collaboration

According to the social media accounts of all five Backstreet Boys members, the boy band crossed paths with Florida Georgia Line in the studio recently -- and it seems as though the country duo's new album will include the resulting collaboration.

In mid-June, Backstreet Boy Nick Carter posted the above Instagram photo of himself and FGL's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley in a recording studio. Then, on Monday (June 27), he shared another photo, accompanied by the caption "In the studio with my @backstreetboys recording a song for @flagaline new album ... Get ready!!!"

BSB's Howie Dorough also teased fans with an in-studio selfie: "Do I hear a Backstreet Boys / Florida Georgia Line duet ..." he writes. Brian Littrell, meanwhile, says on his Instagram account that the boy band is "doing something we've never done before," and on their Twitter accounts, Kevin Richardson sent out a photo similar to those of his bandmates, accompanied by the hashtag #BSBSurpriseCollaboration, and AJ McLean writes, "Working on something big with BSB and another amazing group! Ssshhhh it's a secret!"

Neither Hubbard nor Kelley has posted anything about the collaboration, but the duo recently announced that their new album, Dig Your Roots, will be out on Aug. 26. On Friday (June 24), they shared the record's cover, but not a track listing; a number of pre-order packages are available on FGL’s official website.

During a recent concert, Kelley shared that his first concert was a Backstreet Boys show, while Hubbard admitted that the first album he ever bought was a Backstreet Boys project. The two then covered the group's hit "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)."

Hubbard and Kelley will be on the road on their Dig Your Roots Tour through October; openers Cole Swindell, the Cadillac Three and Kane Brown are also on the bill. Fans can find tickets and a complete tour schedule on the band’s website.
