Safety is key while enjoying an outdoor sport like snowmobiling. Get certified at the 2015 Puklich Chevrolet ND Sportsman's Expo.

Youth ages 10 and older, who do not have a valid driver's license or permit, are required by North Dakota law to take a safety certification class. Those who are 10 and 11 must also be directly supervised by a parent or guardian while on public land.

In order to become certified, a driver must:

  • Attend a scheduled class or hands-on class.
  • Be at least 10 years old.
  • Pass the certification test.

The certification is needed in order to legally operate a snowmobile on public land which includes the state snowmobile trail system and ditches.

Certification will be offered Saturday, December 19 at the Puklich Chevrolet ND Sportsman's Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $20 per child.
