Bismarck Man Charged With Knife Threat

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Authorities have charged a Bismarck man who they say threatened another man with a butcher knife.

The Bismarck Tribune reports Thai Nguyen was charged Monday with felony terrorizing in South Central District Court. Bismarck Police Sgt. Mark Buschena says he threatened a 53-year-old man's life on Saturday.

Buschena says the man locked himself in the bathroom after the threat.

Police arrested Nguyen and took him to Burleigh County Detention Center. They seized the knife as evidence.

Nguyen is being held on $2,500 cash bond. Online jail records didn't indicate an attorney.
