A 21-year-old Bismarck man is in the hospital in Grand Forks following a train jumping incident in Grand Forks, according to MyNDNow.

The UND student, Jacob Huber is a St. Mary's High School graduate and is currently recovering from his injuries at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. According to Huber's Facebook page, he played sports for St. Mary's High School.

According to police reports, emergency crews were dispatched to the 1500 block of Dyke Avenue, as the person requesting help was Huber. The call came in about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Apparently, Huber jumped on the moving train for reasons unknown. The train was heading toward the downtown area as Huber jumped off the train in the Dyke Avenue area and was run over by the train.

Police are continuing their investigation as Huber recovers in the hospital from what is described as severe injuries.
