The Bismarck Bobcats are hosting their rivals from Minot this Saturday (Oct. 28) at the VFW Sports Center.

The Bobcats are riding a six game winning streak going into a home and home series this weekend against the Minot Minotauros.

Bismarck took on Minot in Minot on Oct. 19 and walked away with a 4-1 victory before getting a pair of wins on the road in Brookings against the Blizzard on the 20th and 21st.

Now on Friday night, the Bobcats will hit the road to play Minot again before hosting Minot at the VFW Sports Center on Saturday.

Bismarck's current winning streak has propelled them into first place in the NAHL's Central Division with an 8-5 record overall.

Meanwhile, Minot has started off the year slow. Their 4-6-1 record has them in last place.

But these two teams have never liked each other and when the two face off, anything can happen.

Saturday's home rivalry matchup is more than just a game between two heated foes.

Saturday will be Oktoberfest Night at the VFW Sports Center. Prior to the game between 5pm and 7pm, Wish from Cool 98.7 will be broadcasting live.

Additionally, between 6pm and 7pm fans can take advantage of a two for one beer special along with dollar hot dogs. So be sure to get to the VFW Sports Center early in order to take advantage of the great deals.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:35pm.

During the course of the night there will also be a Halloween Costume Contest and after the game, kids can bring their skates and skate with the Bobcats players on the ice.

The Northern Lights Barbershop Quartet will also perform live at the VFW Sports Center.

Tickets for Saturday's game can be purchased at the Bobcats website.
