Bond Set for Man in Bismarck Gun Incident

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A judge has set bond at $25,000 cash for a Tioga man accused of threatening three people with a gun in Bismarck and pointing the weapon at police.

Twenty-three-year-old Colton Wooten faces felony charges of terrorizing and reckless endangerment, as well as misdemeanor weapons charges. He could face up to 32 years in prison if convicted on all of the counts.

Wooten was arrested early Saturday after a police officer shot at him but missed. He made his initial court appearance on Monday.

Authorities say the weekend incident happened after Wooten had been at a bar. The Bismarck Tribune reports that Wooten said in court on Monday that he had been drinking but is not a violent man. He said he moved from Texas last year in search of work.
