Carson Wentz opened his NFL career with a touchdown drive.

Carson Wentz had the first possession of the game and on the opening play, they eased Wentz into things with a hand off to Ryan Matthews for a 6 yard gain. His second play from scrimmage was another handoff. Kenjon Barner ran it for a yard.

Then on third down, Wentz with a hard count drew the Browns offside. It set up a first and 10. On the third play from scrimmage, Wentz in the shotgun faked a hand off, rolled right, threw a screen to Jordan Matthews and the pass was dropped. The throw was good.

On the very next play, Wentz threw a fade towards the sideline and Zach Ertz made a gorgeous one handed catch. A gain of 14 yards.

The next play Wentz rolled left and found Brent Celek for 11 yards and a first down. A handoff to Barner on the ensuing play was good for 5 yards. On second and 5 Wentz thre a screen to the right. Ertz caught it about 2 yards in front of the line of scrimmage and then took care of the rest and ran for another 11 yards. Wentz at this point was 3 for 4 for 38 yards.
