Ask anybody in Bismarck, this city has some of the worst drivers. It could be that we have so many transient drivers just passing through, but I think we can all agree, Bismarck has  really poor drivers on the streets!

A sure sign of spring is when the city starts to wipe away the gravel and sand from the area bridges and roadways left over from the long harsh winter.

LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, Calif. (AP) — Two drivers involved in a Los Angeles-area car crash each suffered hundreds of bee stings after one of the vehicles hit a tree and disturbed a hive.

The weekend blizzard caused hazardous driving, very cold temperatures, winds up to 55 MPH, the closing of I 94 East from Bismarck to Fargo.

Another very cold arctic polar blast will dominate the area again! Keep the log johns handy as the cold weather and wind will continue to effect the region and will hang around for a while, according to the National Weather Service.

UPDATE (1/16, 2:12PM): The Burleigh County EM is reporting that I-94 has been reopened, but motorists should still be cautious when traveling.

Ice and snow were the cause of this accident on I94 at the Missouri River Bridge East this morning at 10:15 AM, with injuries being reported.

With the renewed vigor of Bismarck's Downtown area, new patio's and rooftop lounges comes the old question, should downtown have a quiet zone from the noise of the freight trains passing through?

It's always a good thing when you can have extra money in your pocket, and you'll find that change in your pocket this week as gas prices continue to fall in the Bismarck-Mandan area.

With the start of the school season, you're being reminded to watch for school zone speed limits and violations around school buses. And if you need some form of a reminder, State Troopers will be riding along on school buses looking for violators.
