The PB&J Drive for United Way Backpacks is underway at Cash Wise in Bismarck and the Century High School Leadership class is leading the charge to help stop childhood hunger.

The annual PB&J Drive is happening through April 16th and Laurie Foerderer's Leadership class from Century High School have made it a mission to do their part in helping to collect donations of jars full of peanut butter at and jelly that will feed hungry children throughout the Bismarck-Mandan area. One of the CHS Leads students, Lauryn Hinckley, is spearheading the cause.

Lauryn and several students from her class were out at Cash Wise on Thursday (April 5th) collecting several boxes full of peanut butter and jelly, along with donated cash from customers to help the United Way event. Rory Gjestvang of Cash Wise pledged that for each jar of peanut butter and/or jelly donated, Cash Wise will match that donation with another jar donation of their own.

Jax from HOT 97.5 was also on hand to promote the event on Thursday.
