BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Firefighters believe a blaze that damaged a Bismarck home was started in a compost bin on a porch.

The Bismarck Tribune reports firefighters responded to the blaze on Friday.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and prevented it from extending to the rest of the building.

No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $35,000.
