CRAZY HORSE, S.D. (AP) — Crews at Crazy Horse Memorial in the Black Hills plan to do a blast on the mountain to honor men and women who have served in all branches of the military.

The annual Veterans Day blast will be at 11:11 a.m. Mountain time Monday, weather permitting.

The observance has been a tradition since the start of carving at Crazy Horse, which honors Native Americans, many of whom have served. And mountain sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski volunteered for military service in World War II.
