There was a time in the 70's and 80's before the Carrie Underwoods and Miranda Lamberts when the female country music stars consisted of the music of Crystal Gayle. Her music crossed over into several genre's including top 40 and adult contemporary.

Back then you could not turn of the radio or TV without a Crystal Gayle tune. She's known for her long flowing hair and is a relative of country music legend Loretta Lynn. Born Brenda Gail Webb in 1951 in the Blue Mountains of Kentucky.
