'Divergent' Star Shailene Woodley has joined the North Dakota Tribal protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Woodley joined youth from Standing Rock Indian Reservation as they ran all the way to Washington, D.C. in hopes of preventing construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline. The Dakota Access Pipeline would take oil from the North Dakota Bakken to Patoka, Illinois. The group protests the pipeline because it could destroy their water supply if it ever erupted.

Woodley also marched with the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in D.C. on August 5th. The group plans to deliver 150,000 signatures to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in hopes that the government will stop the pipeline.

The 'Divergent' star visited North Dakota's Sacred Stone Camp in early July and continues to be very active on her Facebook page about stopping the Dakota Access Pipeline.
