Following in the footsteps of former teammate and current Miami Dolphin Billy Turner, former North Dakota State cornerback Marcus Williams is officially on an NFL roster.

The New York Jets signed Williams off their practice squad, where he landed after beginning the season with the Houston Texans. Williams went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft.

A spot on the Jets roster became available when linebacker A.J. Edds was released by the team on Tuesday, October 28th.

During his time at NDSU, Williams had 21 interceptions, a school record. He also set an FCS record with seven interceptions returned for touchdowns.
