My son got a text last night that a former hockey teammate was on a pontoon with a Hollywood celebrity.

That's right, he was on a pontoon on the Mighty Missouri enjoying a few cocktails and the sights and sounds of the river.

Details are a little sketchy, but this actor, who's "Legendary" in our state posted on his Facebook page recently that he's on a "North Dakota road trip with friends".

I'm speaking of none other than North Dakota's favorite son Josh Duhamel.

Looking at Josh's photos on Facebook, it looks like he's been doing a lot of North Dakota things, like riding a motorcycle, fishing for Walleyes, and throwing back a few.  In fact, here are those photos.

Who knows, maybe Josh Duhamel will show up at Bike Night tonight at Sickies Garage Burgers and Brews. Just a friendly little plug for our event, but it wouldn't surprise me if he did. That's the downhome kind of guy Josh Duhamel is.

After an evening on the river motorboatin', Josh and his entourage made a stop at the Paddletrap.

That's where Cheryl Welk of Mandan met Josh right before midnight on Tuesday evening.

Cheryl said Josh was his usual friendly and humble self and he was having a drink and taking pictures with fans.  Here are Cheryl's photos.

So, where could Josh be off to next?  I just want to throw out "Bike Night at Sickies Garage Burgers and Brews" again.  You have an open invite, Josh, if you happen to catch this article.  Always good to see the Minot, North Dakota native who has never forgotten his roots, even after he became rich and famous.
