With National Coffee Day behind us, and all the ruckus that the President stirred with the latte salute coming off Marine One,  I thought it would be a nice little project to determined how many Starbucks are located in each state in the country?

According to Statemaster.com, You can probably guess the state with the most Starbucks stores. If you said Washington, home state to Seattle, you would be WRONG! California has the most Starbucks shops with 2010 coffee shops. Texas comes in second with 604 and Washington is at #3 with 559 stores.

When it comes to North Dakota, The Peace Garden State is the proud home of 12 Starbucks shops. North Dakota actually comes in at #48 with Wyoming, Vermont and New Hampshire trailing behind North Dakota.

Now, go grab the change under your car seat, in the sofa cushions and make sure you have a buck or three and go grab a nice refreshing Starbucks coffee!
