The Winter Storm Warning will continue until 6 pm tonight Tuesday, February 27th.

Blizzard conditions are possible in the Winter Storm area.  A band of 4 to 7 inches of snow is likely. Visibility of a 1/4 of a mile or less is possible.  Winds could gust as high as 45 miles per hour.

What will be the impacts of this storm?

You can plan on slippery road conditions.  Intense snow, along with blowing and drifting snow could significantly reduce visibilities.  No travel is advised in this area. Wind chills are expected to dip to around 30 below zero.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Bismarck and Mandan.

This includes a good portion of our listening area.  Much of south-central & southwest North Dakota.  Including the cities of Ashley, Napoleon, Wishek, Strasburg, Hazelton, New Salem, and Linton.

Included counties in the advisory include Burleigh, Morton, Grant, Sioux, Kidder, Emmons, Logan, and McIntosh.

The Winter Weather Advisory will run until 12 noon on Tuesday, February 27th.

The snow has wrapped up here in Bismarck other than a few flurries still possible.  Officially we received 4.6 inches of snowfall at the National Weather Service. It will remain windy during the morning hours with wind gusts as high as 30 miles per hour.  Travel might be difficult with slippery roads and reduced visibility (especially in open country).
