In our modern times, there seems to be very few things the masses can collectively agree on. However, we think we might have found a cause we can all rally behind: it's International Beer Day y'all!

Whether you're fan of IPAs, porters, ambers, shandies, or even more experimental fare, I think we can all agree, there is no better way to cap off a long week and a sweltering hot Friday than by kicking back at the end of the day and enjoying some cold, refreshing, suds.

According to a website of the same name, International Beer Day can trace its origins back to 2008. The creators of the holiday chose the first Friday in August as the day for the celebration in part because August is one of the year's hottest months, and because the date is sufficiently distanced enough from other major beer celebrations around the world.

Bismarck's craft brewing community has been growing steadily over the past few years. What's your favorite local beer? Where would you suggest newcomers to town go to grab a pint?

Cheers!
