Things are good for Jana Kramer these days. Her country music career is kicking in very well and now she appears on the big screen in the movie Approaching Midnight- For Love and Country.

The story follows a veteran, Wesley Kent,  returning home from his service in Afghanistan to find that things aren't quite the same in his hometown in rural Louisiana. Upon his return home, he finds out that his girl friend Aspen, played by Jana Kramer  was killed in a car accident. Kent seeks answers concerning her death, only to find very mysterious circumstances surrounding her death and the accident.

After watching the movie and spending time with director Sam Khalaghi, this is a project that he's been wanting to do for a while.  I am a native of Louisiana, it is no surprise that his project caught me eye. Some of the movie was filmed on location in Louisiana.

Approaching Midnight will strike a cord with many veterans. When many of these men and women return from service, things change, people change and sometimes finding your place once returning home can be difficult. For many veterans, it can be difficult to pick up where you left off before leaving for service. Approaching Midnight portrays this message very well.
