Comedian Joan Rivers Dead at 81

It has been confirmed that beloved comedian Joan Rivers died Thursday afternoon at the age of 81. 

Rivers was rushed to the hospital last last week after she stopped breathing during while undergoing a throat procedure and had been in serious condition ever since.

Her daughter, Melissa Rivers, released the following statement:

The world is certainly filled with less laughter today. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.
