John Lennon Remembered on Anniversary of His Passing

The lesson of John Lennon's song "Imagine" will now be told through a children's picture book. Publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt will put out a book called "Imagine" next September, created by illustrator Jean Jullien. Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has given her blessing to the project. The book will tell the story of a young pigeon's mission for peace through the lyrics of the song.
On this day in 1980, John Lennon was shot to death outside his New York City apartment building by an apparently deranged fan. He and wife Yoko Ono were returning home from a recording session. Lennon was 40.
