Multiple sources are reporting that North Dakota State's head football coach Chris Klieman is expected to be offered the job as the Kansas State Wildcats' head coach.

Klieman interviewed with Kansas State's athletic director Gene Taylor last week and sources indicate that he'll accept the new position.

He had spoken with his Bison team regarding the uncertainty of his future at NDSU. Klieman will continue to coach the team as far as they advance in the FCS Playoffs. The Bison will take on South Dakota State this Friday (December 14th) in the semifinals of the FCS Playoffs at 7 p.m. That game will be televised on ESPN2.

Klieman has coached the Bison to three national championships in five seasons and has compiled a 67-6 record at NDSU.

Taylor, the former athletic director at NDSU, once promoted Klieman from defensive coordinator to head coach of the Bison when Craig Bohl left the position for Wyoming.

UPDATE: Chris Klieman has accepted the offer. He has agreed to a six-year deal at Kansas State as he'll make $2.3 million per year with a $200,000 annual raise.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, who played for Klieman, weighed in on the coaches departure from NDSU:
