Live Football Is Back !
Yeah, it was the Bears —not the Vikings or Eagles — but it's good to watch football again.
Every year the Hall of Fame Game marks the beginning of the preseason football schedule and this year the game was a nailbiter — as much as a game full of backups can, anyway. The Chicago scrubs ended up losing to the Baltimore scrubs by a point.
It was good to see Lamar Jackson of the Ravens toss a touchdown in the third quarter, but other than that, it was what you would expect from the first pre-season game.
Heres when the Vikings and the Eagles begin the preseason:
Vikings at Broncos, August 11 at 8 p.m. CST
Steelers at Eagles, August 9 at 6 p.m. CST
In Eagles training camp news: Carson Wentz is being held out of drills to continue his recovery process from his ACL injury last year. It would be interesting if he sees any live preseason action.
I actually applaud the Eagles for being careful. They have a really good backup in Foles —the guy won the Super Bowl — so why take any chances?
