BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Mandan man is facing 19 theft charges following accusations he stole multiple riding lawnmowers and two of the city's street signs.

Lorren Ray Schrenk was charged Wednesday with 12 new felony and misdemeanor counts for a series of thefts discovered earlier this month. He already had been charged with seven counts in connection with a series of thefts reported in January.

Schrenk allegedly stole more than $31,000 worth of items from people, businesses and government entities in Morton, Burleigh, Wells and Kidder counties. The Bismarck Tribune reports Schrenk also is accused of stealing a garage door and 22 bags of mulch.

He's scheduled to return to South Central District Court on March 16. An email seeking comment was sent to his attorney early Thursday.
