MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — Police say a Lincoln woman was not assaulted and brought to Mandan against her will.

The Bismarck Tribune reports the woman had reported a man grabbed her as she went into her Lincoln home last week. The woman alleged the man assaulted her, put her in a box in his pickup and drove her to a home in Mandan. She reported he then forced her to drink alcohol and assaulted her.

Investigators with the Mandan and Lincoln police departments have determined the woman was neither abducted nor assaulted.

The case has been forwarded to the Morton County prosecutors for review.
