MINOT, N.D. (AP) — A Minot woman accused of leaving her two preschoolers in a car outside a bar for about an hour while she and her boyfriend drank and gambled inside will spend eight more days in jail.

Twenty-two-year-old Chelsea Erie pleaded guilty Thursday to felony child neglect in a deal with prosecutors. She was ordered to spend 10 days in jail with credit for two days already served.

If Erie successfully completes two years of probation and other terms of her sentence, the charge will be wiped from her record.

Police say Erie's 3- and 5-year-old children weren't harmed in the Dec. 28 incident, when the temperature was about 7 degrees. Erie earlier called the case a "hysterical overreaction."

Twenty-five-year-old former boyfriend Daniel Dumas has pleaded not guilty to felony child neglect.
