Miranda Lambert hurts when Texas hurts. The country star sent her love to those affected by Hurricane Harvey, which ravaged parts of her home state.

Via Instagram on Monday (Aug. 28), Lambert expressed her solidarity with the Lone Star State, sharing an understated photo of a heart divided into three sections of the Texas flag. “Prayers, light and love for Texas!” the Lindale, Texas native writes with several heart and praying hands emojis. She also reached out on Twitter to send her love to the area when Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 storm, rocked the coastal towns of Rockport and Corpus Christi and poured into Houston on Friday (Aug. 25).

The hurricane has caused five reported deaths and has left many homeless.

Several other big-name Texas natives were quick to offer support, including Lee Ann Womack, RaeLynn and Josh Abbott Band. “Be smart, be safe, help those in need when they need it,” singer Wade Bowen encourages in a tweet.

Chris Young is stepping up in a major way by donating $100,000 to the Red Cross — he has also started a GoFundMe page to raise money for flood relief efforts, with the goal of raising $500,000. Young believes his property in the area where the storm hit is most likely destroyed, but says, “But that’s the least of my concerns. I’m worried about the people there – my friends, family and neighbors — and I want to help.”
