Morton County Crash Kills Two, Injures Three

CANNON BALL, N.D. (AP) — A head-on crash on state Highway 1806 in Morton County has killed two people and injured three more.

The Highway Patrol says a car traveling north crossed into the wrong lane and collided head-on with a southbound car about 7 p.m. Thursday, 6 miles north of Cannon Ball.

The 36-year-old Fort Yates woman driving the southbound vehicle died, along with a 55-year-old male passenger in her vehicle. He also was from Fort Yates. Authorities did not immediately release their names.

Another passenger in the southbound vehicle and the driver and a passenger in the northbound vehicle were taken to Bismarck hospitals with undisclosed injuries.
