ND Ambulance Services Sign Up for Bismarck Air Medical Memorial

Dozens of ambulance services throughout North Dakota have signed up to take part in the procession set for those that passed away in the recent Bismarck Air Medical plane crash.

The plane crash claimed the lives of pilot Todd Lasky, paramedic Chris Iverson and nurse Bonnie Cook. The crash occurred late last Sunday (November 18th) just northwest of Mandan. A memorial has been set for this coming Monday, November 26th.

According to the Bismarck Tribune, at time of print, 39 ambulance services in North Dakota have now signed up to be involved in the procession for Monday's memorial.

State president of the North Dakota Emergency Medical Services Association, Kelly Dollinger, is expecting even more as she's said, "You're not going to keep them away. This is an EMS family."

The procession for the memorial on Sunday will include ambulances from Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot, Mohall, Plaza, Beach, Billings County, and other districts as well. Dollinger says the procession may see ambulances from neighboring states as well.

On Monday, the procession leaves from Eastgate Funeral Home in Bismarck and will generally follow State Street and South Seventh Street to the Bismarck Event Center. Services there will begin at 10 a.m. The memorial is open to the public. The Rev. Greg Carr, lead chaplain for Crisis Care Chaplaincy, told the Bismarck Tribune that the memorial is planning for 3,100 seats.
