NDSU QB Carson Wentz Unlikely to Return This Season [VIDEO]

The North Dakota State Bison may end up winning their fifth straight FCS Championship without their star quarterback under center.

According to InForum, NDSU head coach Chris Klieman stated that it was unlikely that quarterback Carson Wentz would return to cap off his senior season with the Bison.

Wentz injured his wrist over a month ago and is still a few weeks away from getting an MRI, so the likelihood of him returning to the field is pretty slim.

Since Wentz has been out, freshman Easton Stick has taken over as NDSU's quarterback and led the Bison to five wins, including three on the road.

The Bison received the #3-seed from the selection committee for this year's FCS Championship playoffs, which means they have a first round bye. They'll host the winner of Montana and South Dakota State on December 5th at the FargoDome.

There is no word on how much Wentz's injury could effect his NFL Draft stock. Wentz has been ranked as high #3 in terms of quarterbacks available in the 2016 NFL Draft.
