Nevada Man Faces “Terror” Charges in North Dakota

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — A man from Reno, Nevada, who has been living in North Dakota is accused of making a telephone threat that led to a lockdown of Dickinson schools.

Thirty-eight-year-old David Viator faces a felony terrorizing charge that carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.

Authorities allege that Viator called a national crisis hotline last week and made reference to a mass homicide, and the call was traced to a prepaid cellphone in Dickinson.

Court documents do not list an attorney for Viator, and a telephone listing could not be found for him in Dickinson. He is due in court Nov. 10.
