The New York Times has followed up on their in depth look at North Dakota's oil industry with an article that claims to cover the "downside" of the oil boom.

The article, datelined Saturday, opens with the comment that North Dakota "took on the oversight of a multibillion-dollar oil industry, with a regulatory system built on trust, warnings and second chances."

L. David Glatt of the state Health Department's environmental division, described the article as a "mixed bag" during an interview with Joel Heitkamp, heard monday on SuperTalk 1270.
