According to the 2016 Kids Count Well Being report just released, North Dakota ranks high in the states for giving kids a good foundation to becoming healthy adults.

The report reviewed several areas of every state in the country to rate the best states for an over all kids well-being. The areas examined included economic well-being, education, health, family and community. Overall the upper Midwestern states performed very well with Minnesota ranking first.

Following Minnesota, the other top states included Massachusetts, Iowa, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New Jersey, North Dakota (#8), Nebraska and Utah.
