Women's Health revealed a list of what health symptom every state in the country Googles the most. Unfortunately, North Dakota's is pretty crappy (yes, that's a pun).

The most popular Googled symptom for the entire country overall is 'stress', but that is not the case for the Peace Garden State. In fact, for our state, the result turned out to be multiple Googled symptoms that all lead to one main medical condition, irritable bowel syndrome.

According to Michelle Cohen, M.D., a board-certified gastroenterologist at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, "IBS is a gastrointestinal disorder largely attributed to miscommunication between the brain and the gut."

Symptoms of IBS can be pretty ruthless. Abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation (or both of the previous two listed), and bloating are all symptoms of IBS.

The causes will vary from person-to-person. Cohen also mentions that causes may be a combination of your environment, genetics, and psycho-social factors like life stressors or personality traits.
