NDDOT has announced that work on I94 in Bismarck will shift traffic to head-on traffic in the East and West bound lanes beginning today, Monday, June 5th.

This head to head traffic zone is about one mile in length, and starts from mile marker 158 and continue to mile marker 159. The shift is to accommodate work on I-94 on the interstate bridges over N. Washington St. and N. 4th St. as part of the I-94 Bismarck-Mandan project.

The posted speed limit is 45 mph, but could be reduced in some areas while work and inspections are taking place.

You are strongly urged to obey traffic speed zones, drive friendly and allow other cars to get in line. You can also take an alternate route to avoid this area completely.

The work zone should be complete in fall of 2017.
