BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Bismarck police are investigating the death of a person whose body was found in a cold-storage unit following a fire.

The Bismarck Police Department said an insurance investigator discovered the body Thursday afternoon among the debris from the fire that broke out Tuesday evening. They haven't identified the body.

Police say officers and firefighters responded to the fire Tuesday evening at the storage unit on the city's east side. They say the building was engulfed in flames when responders arrived.

Police say the Bismarck Fire Department determined the fire's area of origin after containing the flames. Officials secured the scene for further investigation.
