In this cold weather, we all have to think about our pets and livestock.

They too need warmth.  Take the case of rancher David Remmick of Robinson, ND. His cow was buried in the blizzard. In order to rescue the 10-year-old Simmental cross cow, he had to use a loader and dig a 70-foot trench over eight foot snow drifts to rescue the animal.

The good news is Remmick says he has not had any cow deaths due to the storm.
