Everything is connected. When was the last time you can remember North Dakota did not lead the nation in the unemployment rate?

The time has arrived!

According to the latest figures North Dakota is no longer leading the nation with the lowest unemployment rate. This is in large part due to the lack of drilling in the oil patch.

The total number of rigs is at an all time low. Each rig in production employs about 100 men and women.

Nebraska now leads the nation with the lowest unemployment rate at 2.7%.

North Dakota is now at 2.9%.
