VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) — The annual North Dakota Winter Show begins its six-day run in Valley City on Tuesday.

The state's longest-running agricultural show is in its 78th year. It runs through the weekend.

The headline entertainer this year is country singer Rodney Atkins. His concert is scheduled Friday night.

The Winter Show features livestock and crop shows and exhibits, a rodeo and other events.

Two people also will be inducted into the North Dakota Agriculture Hall of Fame on Saturday — potato farmer, businessman and philanthropist Ron Offutt, and John Bollingberg of Bremen, who has worked in the state's agriculture industry for more than six decades.
