Bismarck and Mandan authorities are searching the Heart River for a missing 75-year-old Bismarck man, who went missing Monday. (4/9)

 

According to the Morton County Sheriff's office, Monday, a woman called 9-1-1 to report her husband went to check some hunting locations around 9 a.m., and was gone all day and was unable to contact him on his cell phone. She called the authorities at 5 p.m., to report him missing.

Search teams discovered his boat capsizes in the Heart River, west of Mandan. First responders searched the area last night by ground and air.

The seach continues Tuesday with the Burleigh County’s Swift Water Rescue Team, Mandan Rural Fire, ND Highway Patrol and the Morton County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team are all on-site.
