The second fatality of the rally was recorded Tuesday evening. The driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet. The accident happened on the interstate, east of Sturgis as the Fort Wayne, Indiana man lost control and dropped the bike on the highway. He was 27 years old.

In the strangest accident so far reported from the rally, two men from Kansas City, both hit the same deer on state Highway 79. The first bike hit the deer and ran off into the ditch. The second bike and his passenger hit the deer, went off the roadway and got tangled into a barb-wired fence. All of the riders and passengers received minor injuries.

No update on the deer was offered.
