Sunday Fire Causes Damage to Local RV Dealer

The Bismarck Fire Department responded to a fire reported at Capital RV on 1900 Industrial Drive, Sunday.

The sky was filled with thick black smoke, when firefighters arrived on scene, and inside there were several motor homes on fire. Several crews were on scene fighting the blaze which caused an estimated damage of over $1,500,000. The fire was in the shop and repair area of the building.

Because of the location of some of the motor homes, outside, close to the building, made it difficult to fight the fire. The damage to the showroom was limited although some motor homes were lost in the fire.

There was no injuries as the building was vacant, and fire crews stayed on the scene for a while to check for hot spots and remaining flames.
