WHITE SHIELD, N.D. (AP) — The family of a North Dakota soldier deemed missing in action during the Korean War is getting his medals and awards.

2 motorcycle clubs here in North Dakota want to make sure we have a place to remember those from this state that never made it back to American soil while serving their country.

It's a day of recognition that many may not know about. Every year, on the third Friday of September, we observe the thousands of military members who have yet to be accounted for.
