This is probably not what you expected to take the place of Herberger's in the Kirkwood Mall in Bismarck, but it is only temporary.

The Bismarck Tribune is reporting the huge space which is currently occupied by Herberger's will have a temporary tenant.

A seasonal customer with the mall, Spirit Halloween will be in the big space selling the spirit and season of Halloween. How big is that space? It is 92,000 square feet. That's a lot of ghouls and goblins!

The Halloween store plans to sell their goods in the retail space from September to November.

Spirit Halloween has been a temporary tenant of the mall previously.

There has been a lot of talk about how they should use the retail space once bankrupt Herberger's moves out, I think I am safe in saying a Halloween retail store is not what most people had in mind.

Fear not, once Halloween has passed, apparently, Kirkwood Mall says they have plans for the old space.
