As the food publication typically does, The Daily Meal took the time out to find the best burger in every state. According to their list, you don't have to go outside Bismarck to find North Dakota's.

While everyone has their own burger preference, based on the fact that this burger is also the top burger joint on Yelp, there's a good chance that The Daily Meal was spot on with their pick. The food publication picked JL Beers for the restaurant with the best burger in North Dakota.

JL Beers has seven North Dakota locations (Bismarck, Minot, Grand Forks, Watford City, West Fargo, and two more in Fargo) and two location in South Dakota (both in Sioux Falls). Here's what The Daily Meal had to say about the local chain:

More than a dozen burgers are available, made with never-frozen beef; The Original hamburger Stand Burger, topped with only pickles and special sauce, is definitely enough to satisfy a craving, but you might as well go all-in and try the JL Burger (topped with grilled onions, cheese, special sauce, and two patties); the Rajun Cajun (pepper jack, Cajun lime sauce, grilled onions, and Cajun seasoning); or the Not Just a Nutter Burger (fresh peanut butter, red pepper jelly, diced jalapeños, raw onions, and lettuce).

The Daily Meal also credited a fun welcoming vibe and the fact that JL Beers has 40 beers on tap. You can check out everything the Bismarck location has to offer here.

For the best burger in North Dakota, and Bismarck for that matter, JL Beers is certainly a go-to. But what do you think, Bismarck-Mandan, did they get it right?
