The list of the most popular vehicles in each state has been released for the past year based on new car registrations.

Kelley Blue Book compiled the data for the most popular vehicles in 2016. As a result, Ford's F150 is the best selling vehicle in America. North Dakota happens to be one of those states where it sold better than any other vehicle as well.

The list of most popular vehicles includes:

  • Honda Accord
  • Honda Civic
  • Honda CR-V
  • Chevrolet Silverado 1500
  • Ford Escape
  • Ford F150
  • GMC Sierra 1500
  • Nissan Rogue
  • Subaru Outback
  • Toyota Tacoma
  • Toyota RAV4
  • Toyota Corolla

However, more than 10 states would prefer SUVs over pickup trucks and compact cars still sell very well in a select few states. A map of what each state favors can be found at the link here.

Despite the fact that pickups were overwhelmingly the favorite in America, analysts for Kelley Blue Book say that this trend could very well change in 2017.
