Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren are ringing in the New Year with a fun ski trip, but she took time out to look back on an eventful 2017 with some achingly sweet pictures of their growing family.

The couple began 2017 childless and ended the year as a family of four after welcoming two daughters. They adopted their daughter Willa Gray from Uganda in May and welcomed their biological daughter, Ada James, in August. Lauren turned to Instagram to share the photo collage above, which depicts a number of key moments from the sweet family's social media posts over the course of their year of remarkable change.

"They were the best part of my 2017," she writes to accompany the family pictures, which also include a shot of the family dogs.

She also shared a beaming picture of herself and her husband celebrating the new year during a ski trip, enjoying a morning drink in front of a panoramic view of a snow-covered mountain and a ski lift.

Rhett also shared some shots via Instagram, including one of the couple and a group of friends on the slopes, as well as another in which he is raising a beer to his fans to ring in the new year.

A week earlier, the couple shared adorable pictures of their first Christmas with their daughters. Rhett also saw huge success in his career in 2017; his most recent album, Life Changes, debuted No. 1 on multiple charts, and he's scored two back-to-back No. 1 singles from the project with "Craving You," which features Maren Morris, and "Unforgettable." Life Changes takes its title from the big personal and career changes Rhett has gone through over the last few years, and the album is nominated for Best Country Album in the 2018 Grammy Awards.
