JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say a tornado touched down near Jamestown but no damage was reported.

Stutsman County Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist tells KOVC radio that the twister touched down Sunday night, about a dozen miles northwest of the city.

Bergquist says a sheriff's deputy verified that the tornado was on the ground in an open field and was traveling in the direction of the city before dissipating.
